Shalom
Last night my church had a speaker from Jews for Jesus, Karol Joseph, come and speak. She talked about the Passover Seder and how each element represented Jesus Christ. In short, here are some of the elements:
Bitter root: The bitterness of being enslaved to our sins
Apple and nut mixture: The sweetness of redemption
Matzo: Unleavened bread, represent the sinlessness of Y'shua (Jesus)
(Stripes: For his stripes we are healed; Piercings: He was pierced for our transgressions)
The Three Matzos in the Sleeve: The Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit)
I love reading the Old Testament and hearing about Jewish traditions. I have actually been to a couple of Passover seders that the Baptist Student Union has put on. So I love hearing about these things. I am doing some research on the Internet about Messianic Jews. I want to hear more about Judaism.
In other news, I have a big week coming up, for more reasons than one.
Saturday at the Village Baptist Church, we are holding our annual Talent Show and Chili Cook-Off. Yours truly will be in a performance. So if you happen on this page and you live in Oklahoma City, please come.
Yesterday I went shopping at Gordmans with Leigh Ann and her mom. I bought me a new duster jacket. It is bright pink. I am wearing it to work. I also found a professional suit that I want to buy soon.
